John Paulding School

Lego Master Virtual Field Trip (all classes) – a 45 min virtual field trip with instruction from a Lego Master Builder

Kindergarten Special Education Teacher, Keri Castellaneta – Tie Dye Equipment for Autism Awareness: Students will dye a t-shirt blue as an activity for the “Light up blue Day” while teaching knowledge, awareness and understanding in regards to autism.

Psychologist, Anna Ginther – Flexible Seating including standing desks, wobble stools, chair bands, scoop rockers and wiggle seat cushions.

W. L. Morse School

1st Grade Teachers, Jenne Mazzarella and Gina Gutierrez – Approximately 80 Lap desks for
flexible seating options to be used for independent work such as writing, math
and reading.

Washington Irving School

3rd Grade Teachers, Christine Calvert and Robin Suarez – 26 Rewrite BoogieBoards (mess-free, reusable writing tablets that make learning fun and engaging) for the 3rd Grade ICT class.

Physical Education Teacher, Lara Vivolo – Two large Gaga ball pits that will be used by all grades.

Art Teacher, Amanda Falcone – Air dry clay and acrylic paint for a fine motor skills project for all grades.

Sleepy Hollow Middle School

Reading Specialist, Jennifer DalCeredo – Headsets with microphones to support the students reading fluency.

Special Education Teacher, Megan Lasky – 34 Noise canceling headphones for the ICT students in all grades to support the students ability to focus.

Library Media Specialist, Joan Mullin – STEM kits for the library of things including one Raspberry
PI 400 personal computer kit, one imagiCharm starter kit and one Sphero® Mini Activity Kit.

8th Grade Living Environment Teacher, Deidre Sullivan and 8th Grade Math Teacher, Maria Sabbouh – Materials for 8th grade mural.

Art Teacher, Andrea Harrison – Art supplies for Art Club

Guidance, Jade Theile – “Calm Down Carts”, one for each grade, that will be used to help students that experience difficulties. They will provide different deescalation tools (e.g. coloring books, mindfulness activities) to utilize in the moment

Science Teacher, Michael Garguilo – Spirit wear for kids who are new to the district to help create a sense of belonging for the new student.

8th Grade ELA Teacher, Melissa Aragona – Equipment for the 8th Grade Digital Journalism Class, e.g. digital camera, tripod, microphone, camcorder and memory cards
