John Paulding Book Fair – March 6-9

Save the Dates for the John Paulding School Book Fair!

The PTA “Grow into a Reader” Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon – Monday, March 6 thru Thursday March 9.

John Paulding families, please join us for the “Storytime w/ Milk and Cookies” event on Tuesday, March 7 from 6-8pm for a fun evening.

The PTA also provides a free light breakfast to enjoy during book fair shopping before school on Wednesday, March 8, and Thursday, March 9, from 7:45-8:45am. All book fair purchases benefit the PTA and our schools. See you there!

¡La Feria del Libro Scholastic “Crecer en un lector” de la PTA llegará pronto! Se lleva a cabo del 6 al 9 de marzo. Familias de John Paulding, únanse a nosotros para el evento “Cuentos con leche y galletas” el martes 7 de marzo, de 6 a 8 p.m. para una noche divertida.

La PTA también ofrece un desayuno ligero gratuito para disfrutar durante las compras en la feria antes de la escuela el miércoles 8 y el jueves 9 de marzo, de 7:45 a 8:45 a. m. Todas las compras en la feria del libro benefician a la PTA y a nuestras escuelas. ¡Te veo allí!

Book Fair Open House
Sunday, March 6th
10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.

This shopping day is open to all families with no sign-up required.

Book Fair Shopping Hours (with teachers)
Monday, March 7th – Thursday, March 10
9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m

*additional time slot at 1:30-3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7th for afternoon Pre-K
During this visit students will create a book wish list during class time to be sent home for parent approval.

Story Time with Milk & Cookies
Tuesday, March 8th
6:00-8:00 p.m.

Parents must register to attend the event. Please click here to register.
One adult and your JP child can attend for our milk & cookies event.
Come and enjoy browsing, shopping, story time, and a craft.
Pj’s are welcome! Milk and cookies provided at the end to-go.

Principal Barnett wins Hero in Education Award

Principal Maureen Barnett of John Paulding School has won the Westchester-East Putnam Region PTA Hero in Education Award! Please join us in congratulating her.

Principal Barnett received the award during a surprise presentation at John Paulding Back-to-School Night on Sept. 19. She was nominated for the award during the 2018-19 school year.

Thank you to Principal Barnett for being an exceptional member of our community.

JP Ziti Dinner and Book Fair Celebration – April 4

Calling All JP Families! Come help us get the John Paulding Book Fair kicked off with a bang at the Annual Ziti Dinner and Book Fair Celebration. Bring the whole family and enjoy a great Ziti Dinner, make a fun craft and shop at the book fair! Doors open at 6pm and the fun continues until 8pm.

Credit Cards are accepted for payment at the Book Fair for the evening of the Celebration. Checks should be made to: EPTA of the Tarrytowns

John Paulding Book Fair is Coming! April 7 – April 10

It’s that time of year, the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to John Paulding!

Gift Certificates – Purchase gift certificates for your friends, family and teachers. Buy early so the teachers can use them during the fair!

Donations – Purchase books for your child’s classroom (teacher wish lists will be available). Donate money to help children who might not otherwise receive a book.

Shop at Scholastic Online – Benefit your school the week after the fair by visiting Here.

All students will visit the fair with their classes during the school day. They will fill out a wish list to take home. Students can purchase books from their wish lists by returning the list with a check or exact cash before the end of the fair. The books will be delivered to the students in the classrooms. If books are out of stock, they can be special ordered at no additional cost and will be delivered to the classrooms about a week after the book fair ends. Students are also welcome to stop by during recess and lunch to purchase books or just to browse.


Thank you for your support. A portion of the proceeds from the book fair go to enrichment programs throughout the school district.
