Book Fair Open House
Sunday, March 6th
10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.

This shopping day is open to all families with no sign-up required.

Book Fair Shopping Hours (with teachers)
Monday, March 7th – Thursday, March 10
9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m

*additional time slot at 1:30-3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7th for afternoon Pre-K
During this visit students will create a book wish list during class time to be sent home for parent approval.

Story Time with Milk & Cookies
Tuesday, March 8th
6:00-8:00 p.m.

Parents must register to attend the event. Please click here to register.
One adult and your JP child can attend for our milk & cookies event.
Come and enjoy browsing, shopping, story time, and a craft.
Pj’s are welcome! Milk and cookies provided at the end to-go.

Breakfast and Books
Wednesday, March 9th, and Thursday, March 10th
7:45a.m.- 8:45 a.m.

Bring your child to school early to shop at the book fair and enjoy a story together. To-go breakfast provided by the PTA.

The Special Needs Committee of the Horsemen PTA invites all parents and guardians of children with special needs to a conversation with SHHS principal, Ms. Debbie Brand, as we discuss meeting the needs of all learners in school. Order WI Yearbooks by June 10

It’s time to purchase your WI yearbook!

In these uncertain times, we can still enjoy special memories from this past school year. The WI yearbook features photographs of all WI students, with a special focus on our graduating 5th graders. It contains individual and class photos as well as photos of clubs and events. Don’t forget the always-fun 5th grade baby photos!

The deadline to purchase is June 10. The cost is $27 per yearbook. You can purchase the yearbook on our PTA unit’s Memberhub store via this link: https://nyspta-horseman.memberhub.store/shopping/categories/27118 or via the red “Support the PTA” button on this website. You will also find two different options to donate toward the cost of a yearbook for 5th grade students in need, if you so choose.

Principal Barnett wins Hero in Education Award

Principal Maureen Barnett of John Paulding School has won the Westchester-East Putnam Region PTA Hero in Education Award! Please join us in congratulating her.

Principal Barnett received the award during a surprise presentation at John Paulding Back-to-School Night on Sept. 19. She was nominated for the award during the 2018-19 school year.

Thank you to Principal Barnett for being an exceptional member of our community.

Morse school supply drop-off Thursday, Aug. 29

Incoming first and second graders are welcome to come with a parent or guardian to W. L. Morse School this Thursday, Aug. 29, from 1-1:30 p.m. to visit their classrooms and drop-off school supplies before their first day of school next week.

While you’re there, stop by the back-to-school photo station on the first floor, courtesy of your Horsemen PTA!

*Please note teachers will not be in their classrooms during this time due to a district meeting.
